Unique Positions Needed at Environment Sandy Springs:

  • Sign-up to Host a Meeting in a local park in your Sandy Springs council district. Hear about the latest environmental news in your district and meet your council member. ESS will coordinate with your council district member and help spread the word. Just bring along some coffee for a small group.

  • Volunteer to help. Our annual fundraiser, “EcoFest” is informative and fun. It is the event to enjoy the outdoors and learn how you can have local impact to help preserve, conserve and restore the environment in Sandy Springs. We will feature the work of environmental artists, have native plants for sale, you can learn from the experts about invasives removal, purchase garden tools, and hear from some very special guest speakers. It is a day of connecting with your neighbors in a meaningful way. Please lend us a hand.

  • We are always in need of smart people to help us do research. We look at best practices to help the environment thrive in urban cities. We glean the best of the best practices and use them to guide us and our partners. If you like doing research, please give us a hand. You’ll be doing your community a worthy service.

We craft policy change proposals that offer our city a helping hand in making sound and equitable decisions. If you have experience writing clear and concise proposal’s we’d love to talk with you.

  • We are looking for citizens of Sandy Springs to help gather local environmental news that we can put in our newsletter that goes out to our constituency monthly. And if you have a knack for writing, we could certainly use that volunteer help as well. Maybe you could even start your own regular column within the ESS newsletter.

  • Calling all writers! If you enjoy writing and the environment, we could certainly use your help.

    It is something you can do from the comfort of home and it is a great way to serve your community. We can provide topics of interest to guide you and a list of potential sources.

  • Anybody out there who has film and video experience we could sure use your help. We are actively looking for volunteers to help film, gather and edit wildlife videos shot in Sandy Springs.

    We share them on our website to help our community better understand the vital role biodiversity has in helping our city thrive. Wildlife habitat is shrinking every day and we are losing species at a rapid rate. Your work can help reverse this trend.

  • If you are a whiz on social media we would love your help. Volunteer to help on Instagram and Facebook for a start. Post, help create content and develop campaigns. Your ideas and energy will be welcomed.
