Reconsider your lawn management to help pollinators
Homeowners can help bees and other pollinators by changing the way they manage their lawns. Reducing the mowing frequency and allowing some flowering plants to grow in the lawn are two small changes that can make a big difference for pollinators. ESS Board Members attend Park Pride event
On March 25th, Environment Sandy Springs board members Jim Newbury and Janet Wells attended the 2024 Parks and Greenspace Conference at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The event was organized by Park Pride (parkpride.org) and sponsored by Cox Enterprises. Janet and Jim were invited to the event by Juliet Cohen of Cox, a Sandy Springs company that is collaborating with ESS on a grassland restoration project.
